Yummy

Tried to bake a cheesecake on monday, and wow it was a success on my first try ! taste great, but still can improve on the shape. I improvise some parts since I dun have a mixer I have to use my hand to mix it at speed 2 (of cos not bare hands with a mixing tool), and also using a small convention oven(not usually use for baking) . As it turns out, still very successful!
Maybe can try to sell next time... who wants to try my cheesecake?

Tonite I was quite please to find out that the person sitting beside me has worse handwriting than me (whahahaaha). she's a left hander too. Izzit all left handers have bad handwritings? woohooo

Newster

Went to JB with thong, lawrence and junwei yestuday..
we didn't know where to shop in JB, so just went to city square.. saw the kbox style ktv call the "newster" and went on to try their "k-lunch" (hmm sounds familiar). The lunch was good, thong ordered the dunno wat tofu thingy, law and jun got the chu qian yi ding with chicken chop and me the unagi bento set. prices are about 12 to 16rm, they also provide us with free flow drinks the salad bar. Quite worth the money, plus the room we were allocated was quite spacious compared to the sg one. total we paid 16rm each which is only about $7 SGD.

We sang for about an hour plus only, and proceed to shop around. Then thong and me decide to go to the reds there to colour our hair. He chose a copper colour, mine was ash and dunno wat colour. Later on junwei bought his contact lens and solution, lawrence got a converse shoes and a bum equip watch and thong bought a shirt(Lawrence and I tot it's ugly and uncleish, but junwei and thong like it, ok so they are approaching uncle age).

Later on we decide to go to the place junwei recommended for dinner, I tot it's a new place to try, since I only know the ta ma hua yuan. When we board the cab, junwei told the driver a place in malay, then the driver said it's ta ma hua yuan!!!!. wat the....
ok so we settled dinner at ta ma hua yuan, spent about 160rm in total.

After the dinner, we went back to city square area walk around before we call it a day. While passing the long queue at the custom, I receive a msg from guo jie, jioing me to go alley bar.
I didn't want to go as I woke up pretty early in the morning and wanted to go home by then, shit and sleep. But it's been sometime since I went there and I find the atmosphere there not bad. As I was still pondering, I receive another msg from him, telling me he is not feeling too good. ok so no choice, this means I gotta go down and drink with him. Haiz, this is the first time I went to a pub in my bermudas and a naruto t-shirt (abit weird) since the crowd in alley bar are more mature people arghh... abit paiseh
Hmm but didn't know the cute waitress is still working there, since the last time I went (abt 5 or 6 months?) . She does look alot like my ex-colleague plus the sweet and calming voice.

Keep on waiting !

Juz came back from my reservist training, which was from 10th to 21st of the month. This time the atmosphere was not as noisy as b4 since the loudest person in our platoon deferred due to his work.

First week, we did a couple of things. Our shooting test was different as before, to get marksmanship with the $200 incentive, we have to passed with 80% on target as a group. Which means the whole group total score must be 80% or above. And the format of the shoot is different too. We have to shoot in leap and bound which is quite dangerous especially during the night shoot. This time I was forced to use my right hand to shoot, even though I am a lefty and left mastereye(they said that it's a right handed weapon). Not bad still, only missed 2 day and 3 night shots. Our group got the $200 per person eventually.

Next thing was the IV (Intra-Venis Infusion). Did it once during my active days, but didn't expect to do it again in our reservist. arghhh! Though it's a life saving skill we need when we are really out in the war, but who is not afraid of the needle? the needle is as thick as half of those straws you used to drink hot coffee from coffee bean. Worse thing is we have to do it on each other, one mistake will damage our partners vein. Thankfully nothing fatal happen, only see some spill blood on the floor. Junwei did it on jeff and me on junwei and jeff on me. All was sucessful but junwei got a huge patch of blue black bruise on his arm. Bad news: We have to do it on every high key reservist.

Nothing really interesting happened during the rest of our reservist, the food especially the breakfast still sucks. Until the last nite, we had our tradition game of cards and dices where the loser will have to drink. This year, we didn't drink beer, but eng keong brought in some liqour instead. We have the fatal bombay sapphire(though I think it's quite nice), peach vodka, jim beam and absolut original(didn't see this). Our common target got drunk and vomitted chicken chops and fried rice in the end !*misson accomplised!

Next day after the out process, some of us met up at bugis area at the seven storey hotel for steamboat and went drinking after that. Photos coming up soon...

Algae Bottle

Today I discovered something horrifying.....

I found out that the nalgene bottle in my room which I always drink water from has a layer of algae at the bottom of the bottle ! arghh! How long have I been drinking these algae water ? weeks or months?
I didn't really notice it, since my bottle colour is yellow, so it's not really obvious to spot them. I thought it was because I used the bottle for quite long, that's why a bit discoloured. But taking a closer look I could actually see abit of particles on the inside of the bottle surface.

Helppp ! am I going to die?? I can feel layers of algae growing inside me!!!

Lesson of the day: Clean the water bottle in your room at least once a week?

Korean films

Ahh, just watched a Dvd movie "Daisy". Not bad, quite touching but would be better without the ending. Jeon is really good in acting in these type of movies, can also be seen in "il mare". Nice scenaries, lots of emotions and the background music to bring out the mood.

I always enjoyed watching korean movies. Comedies can be really funny and Romantic films touching. Sometimes I do dreamed of being in a relationship like those in the movies, but in this materialistic world it can only still be a dream. Maybe that's why I am still single now, among the opposite sex friends that I knew, there isn't one that gives me this feel.

It would be nice, if one day I get a chance to act in one of those movies, doing things that only characters in the movie will do, where in the actual world people would said that you are silly. Hmmm suddenly reminds me of some of those silly stuffs that I did in the past...
