My Sunpage Pager

Remember those days?? the pager era ... was when I was in secondary 3 to poly year 1 or 2.

Yup those were the days, where holding a memo jazz was a big deal ! But I couldn't afford one. I can't remember if the one above is the only one I owned or the 2nd one.

Those Alpha numeric messages.. remember? only available for those holding memo jazz.. arghhh. As I watch them punching furiously on the public phonecard phone and feeling proud on how fast they can type a sentence of message..

But for those normal pagers like mine, we do have our own way of expressing our thoughts in messages. Remember those sweet little notes ? "6#9#577 Good night sleep tight tight" , "6000#177" Good morning, "1#177155#4" I miss u .( those who r interested to know more can ask me, I still have a list). I find these much interesting then nowadays SMS. especially those newly invented mesages so that u have to guess what it means. ( like cracking Da Pager code)

One of the pager pranks I made, which I still remember till today was I asked a friend of mine from another department(during my poly days where holding an ericsson handphone was a big deal, I can't afford) to use his handphone to give a page to my classmate. When he returned the call, my friend was to tell him that he was from the pager service provider company and to inform him that his pager subcription will be cancelled. Being suprised and unsatisfied, my classmate said "but I paid my bills!" and demanded an explanation(He sounded like his tears are going to roll down anytime). Well my friend give a reply which till today I am still puzzled what it actually means. "Your pager was cancelled due to customer restrictions".

They also introduced the introductry message where you can record or play music of approximately 10 seconds of your choice so that when your friends paged you they can listen to the music(emil chow's peng you was quite a popular choice) or your nice vocal that you have recorded. Once I recorded the sound of "duuuuuuuuuuuu", and so when my friends page, they thought that they couldn't get through and called again n again only to find out that they have drained all their phonecard credits. hehe

Then slowly handphones began to take over with more affordable prices and yes! holding a pager was still a big deal becos everyone will be looking at you if your pager beeps...

$0.20 Cheque & $60 Cash

Yup, that was my last pay cheque from my categorizer job.. haha. funny right? I dunno whether to bank it or burn it.

But though I lost this source of income, I just secured another one ! yeah ! just earned myself 60 bucks tonite. This is a job that can only be done at nite, a few hours of physical work but quite worth it. This 60 dollars can last me for probably 1 or 2 weeks or maybe just one nite.

Recently more of my friends are getting attached, that's good news! 1 secondary sch frend and 2 platoon mates or maybe more since I didn't really update with them, but will get to know soon during our next Journey to the West part II. aka ICT aka reservist. I am really happy for them, they are a bunch of nice guys and so... finally nice guys gets the gals eh! (then wat happen to the nasty guys? hmmmm, well... they just get more gals...)

Muvee

Where is my free pair of Superman returns tickets? They are suppose to send me!!!

Anyway, I just wanted to say I had enough !!! yesh !! For many years a lot of muvees are giving me the same kind of ending! I am tired of it already please....
What kind of ending you may ask . It's the kind of ending that leaves you guessing what's the ending.
Can't they just show a proper ending, who died? who live? Did they get together in the end?
Those that leaves a mystery ending is Outdated already please !!
yesh and a recent one is Silent Hill.. what ???? did she die or not ? or are they going to film a sequel?
It's getting irritating.. some people watch muvee to relax but in the end it's like leaving a fishbone stuck in ur throat and throw u out of the cinema.

Then I notice a new show coming up call "The Lake House"
It's adopted from my favourite korean muvee "il mare" yeah !really nice and I preferred it then my sassy gal. Not sure if I am going to watch it or not, cuz they might ruin the story and my impression of the show. Hmmm

Finally exams are over !! yeah ! my last paper was on wednesday. Haiz but this time the papers really surprised me. Just hope I can pass everything without ta baoing .

I will have to work hard for my goal, yup both long n short term. Only some of my buddys knows about it..

Anyway, these 2 days have been great ! I did quite a number of things which I had already thought about weeks or months ago. yea!
But still why is the pda still in my room?? It's so new ! and no one wants to buy it?

Wanted to go watch da vinci code a 2 star rating show and most of my friends has warned me not to watch. Yup and in the end I still wanted to ! But didn't succeed... the tics were sold out ! in the only cinema showing ! and I decided I can't go home without watching something ! So I just choose another show.
"She is the man" , not bad.. at least it's something you can relax and watch n laugh after 2 months of mental torture.

Then I checked my email and found that I just lost my 2nd part time job. They decided to discontinue their operation in singapore and move back to canada. Ok at least my main part time is still there and next week I gotta do up my training lesson plan. And hope that the next time ah beng got ad hoc training assignment for me it's not during my exam period.

Haha finally get to try out the dvd rental machine near my hse mrt station. heh, everytime walk past it nvr got chance since I don't have time to watch. rented shinobi and a season for love these 2 days. both sad endings haiz...
