heh I was only going to buy ono lisa's cd when I stumble upon this ..
after listening to some of the samples I decided this is not something I am going to miss. Yeah bossa nova again ! I find this new singer not bad. "Fly me to the moon and let me play among the stars...." arghh u all gotta listen!!! and buy !
And one more thing to highlight. she is a singaporean yup 19 year old and haha same horoscope as me !
her debut album "Precious Stones" will be out in Oct 26th in Japan. dunno when will it be release in Sg. Anyway just enjoy this "a girl meets bossa nova" first !

Ah.... this week very relaxing , cos I no more job liao..
abit enjoy and less stressful

Monday I spent the whole morning baking 50 plus egg tarts to give to the teachers , to thank them for the past few months of working with me. Actually I intended to bake 70 ah, but I was rushing for time, need to make it b4 2pm. and I can only bake 6 at a time, and each time it took me about 20 mins.

anyway, it's good to be studying without any job. I find that I can concentrate better in class.

This wednesday got people go to Madam wong? they got prata and curry leh.. their anniversary I think. but I didn't go lar. but still left abit of the remy there from last sat.

Okie who is going to buy Ono Lisa's trilogy ? or do u all even know what's that? if not nvm. but I highly recommend bossa nova music to all of u !!! very nice relaxing and not too boring. Singers like Astrud Gilberto are also very good (girl from ipanema)! Dunno what is bossa nova ? aiyoh how can dunno. actually u all can hear it everyday ! cos I find that a lot of tv commercials like to use this type of music, especially those jewellery and singtel ads.

Touching Moments

Today is my official last day of work in school. Didn't really expect much, but there was abit of me feeling sad as I think I would really missed this place, the teachers and the students too.

The teachers prepared a farewell party for the TA(also leaving) and me. I was really touched to see this. Though I had only been here for half a year, but it has been a great experience for me. They even present me with a voucher and also a nicely done few pages of small notes written by each teachers for wish me best and thank you.

Anyway, I think most probably I will be back in the school to work with them again. But this time as a different position. A part time and hopfully less stressful job. And I will consider joining NIE to become a teacher, and might opt to go back to there again. See how lar, most important thing for me now is to not waste more time and to concentrate on my studies.

I think I will try to see if I have time to prepare something for the teachers when I go back on monday to settle some admin stuff and meeting.

Today the school also have the NAS star struck finals( singing competition that mimicks the project superstar). I was invited by the teacher in charge to be one of the judges. haha ! It was quite fun actually to be the judge. The sad thing is my favourite contestant wasn't being selected for the finals. The finalists were selected by votes from the students 70% and teachers and staff 30%. Anyway, I do the best I can to be fair and the final winner is a Duo group that sang the duet song "Wu Ding" by Jay chow and Landy. I also tried to give some comments at the end lar "wo you bei gan dong"...

Happy Teacher's Day

Yeah . Today we had a great celebration in my school. Although I am only like half a teacher , but I still appreciate it when I see all the students perform for the teachers. After the celebration concert, the students went back to class and were dismiss shortly after. I went back to my same old table and do my things. But it was quite hard to concentrate as the staff room was flooded with students and ex students , thanking and giving gifts to their teachers.

I never thought that I would receive a present, becos most of the students I taught, I had only been with them for only 2 weeks to 3. But I actually got 2 from my students b4 the celebration. During my flash lesson with them I ask them to create e-cards for their favourite teachers and I would display it today for the teachers. To my surprise 2 groups actually did the card for me :) . quite happy hehe.

Then I saw some teachers table hor, wah flooded with presents.. This is the time to see which teacher is the hot favourite. Then suddenly one joker student come over my table and greeted me "Happy teachers day". And guess what he gave me? .... a plastic bag!! what the? it's those plastic bag people used to put bootleg softwares and games.. I also dunno why he gave me that anyway I still thanked him lar.. Then I got one more from a student, she was one of my first student who I taught for a competition. She baked a cheese cake !!! wow so happy to receive the cake and abit touched. Then got one more group of students came over to pass their presents to other teachers and saw me then also greeted me. Got one student ask me " Mr Huang, why you don't have presents?" whahaha I don't know how to answer and I said " yah lor. You give me lar" whahaah . Later one they gave me a pack of potato chips .haiz this kids really funny.. Makes me really feel like signing up for MOE to be a full fledge teacher. stable high pay, and a sense of acheivement, although quite busy . But sad to say , I will be leaving them soon...

Thank you students !! And thanks for the chips and cheese cake. I like the cheese cake very much. Very nice very tasty! Thanks melissa. Next time try making oreo cheese cake hor... hehe

Anyway, Tonite the we had our teacher's day dinner at hotel intercontinental at bugis , the food sucks ! but it was quite a fun evening. We saw teachers playing games making themselves silly.
