Power Ranger and Sylvester Stallone

Was day dreaming as usual yesturday when it suddenly came to my mind that I had a few strange english language teachers when I was in Secondary school.

My Sec 3 n 4 english language teacher was a malay woman in her 2os during that time. She is probably around 30 by now. She once told us she enjoyed watching the once famous kiddy unrealistic villian and hero show the Mighty Morphine and Power Rangers. Until today, it still makes me wonder why would such a show been watched by others and even adults! I tried watching it, but gave up after 5 minutes.

I took english tuition at a neighbourhood tuition centre when I was in sec 1 and 2. This teacher had a unique way of teaching us how to write composition and comprehension. His way was to let us watch videos for 1 hr plus? (the whole lesson is 2hrs only) and one of the show I remembered was a movie by Sylvester Stallone. It still makes me wonder why would such show improve my english? or was he finding excuse to just sleep at the corner in the dark while we were watching and hope that we doesn't find out? and if he really was sleeping, I don't think I will know about it, since I can't see him in the dim light especially when he closes his eyes and hides his teeth.

Another english tuition teacher, which I only attend one of his lessons had a rather silly name.. His name sounds like "silly papaya" and I guess that's what most of his student called him. Yup and he do look silly enough with his strange hair style and pair of specs.

Till today my english haven't improve much and I wonder if I haven't been reading ? or is it because I didn't watch power rangers or sylvester stallone movies? or didn't had 2 servings of papaya per day?
